In this talk I will present out latests advances in converting bio-basedd products such as glycerol, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural or PET waste into valuable chemicals including lactic acid, FDCA and glycolic acid including some fundamental mechanistic studies, upscale oportunities and life cycle assesment of such processes.
