Halide perovskites are remarkably clean semiconductors with versatile emission properties. They are showing exceptional promise in light emitting applications including as colour converters and light-emitting diodes in different colours. Here I will outline recent efforts in our group towards different forms of white light emission. I will first cover new perovskite and perovskite-like materials that exhibit broad but tunable white light. I will then show integration of perovskite emitters into LED structures capable of producing tunable and high quality white light, including mixtures of nanocrystals and bulk organic emitters, leading to promising efficiencies and stabilities. Ongoing efforts to improve these metrics further and to enable new device designs will be outlined.
