Abstract summary for invited talk (full abstract will be submitted at later date):<br/>The importance of a multi-faceted characterization approach for advancing material development to enable H2 at scale will be discussed. Specific examples highlighting how materials characterization moved the bar forward within hydrogen storage, solar thermochemical hydrogen generation, and high temperature electrolysis will be provided.
