Copper Alloys Requirements for High Field Resitive Magnets

To go beyond the State of the Art of superconducting electromagnets, high field magnets made with optimized<br/> copper alloy coils are available in a restricted number of facilities worlwide.<br/>In Europe, 4 large scale facilities are members of the European Magnetic Field Laboratory.<br/>There are located in Dresden and Toulouse for pulsed magnetic field and Nijmegen and Grenoble for continuous magnetic fields.<br/> We will present the state of the Art of the material used today in these facilities and an overview of the ongoing developments.
