Abstract

Jose Hugo Garcia Aguilar1

Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology1
We will introduce the notion of nonequilibrium physics and its relevance in modern condensed matter physics. This will include a presentation of the Kubo formula, and its application to conductivity, spin relaxation, topological physics, and spin torques. At the end of this block the participant will understand the importance of having methodologies that allow for computing the Kubo formula.
