In this contribution, we present results obtained in the new configuration of magnets and superconductors permitting to strongly increase the levitation force of Superconducting Magnetic Levitating (SML) systems, previously described [1]. We compare levitation force measurements in this configuration to measurements carried out in the classical configuration. We investigate the stability of the proposed system by measurements of the restoring force. We show how to calculate the levitation and the restoring force from i) that measured in the classical configuration and ii) the repulsive force between the magnets included in the system. We discuss the conditions of stability of the proposed system as well as the consequences that its introduction could have on the future of SML MAGLEV transportation.

[1] P. Bernstein, L.
