Symposium Assistant Application

Positions Available to Graduate Students Only

We are now accepting symposium assistant applications for the 2025 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit April 7-11, 2025 in Seattle, Washington. Symposium assistant assignments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis to graduate students attending the Meeting.  

Your preferences (checked below) will be considered based upon availability. To avoid scheduling conflicts, please send in your application after you have checked the status of your oral or poster presentation(s) and know your arrival and departure travel schedule.

Assistants will receive $40/half-day session to help defray meeting expenses. To receive a refund of your student registration fee (within two months of the Meeting), you must assist in a minimum of four half-day sessions (equivalent to 2 full program days).

Schedule Preference

Please check below the half days (or evenings) on which you will be available to assist. Selecting more than four half-day sessions (equivalent of 2 full days) will improve your chances for being assigned to at least four half-day sessions; however, only check those that will not conflict with your presentation or travel schedule.

(PLEASE NOTE: Morning sessions indicate you are available between the hours of 8:00 am – 12:00 pm; Afternoon sessions indicate you are available between the hours of 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm.)
