2025 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit
MRS, its meeting partners and event venues are responsible for complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) including the readily achievable removal of physical barriers to access meeting rooms, sleeping rooms and common areas. Individuals with special needs should
contact MRS headquarters or call 724.779.3003 as soon as possible.
MRS Meeting and Exhibit participants and members have responsibility, likely shared with their employer, for compliance with all applicable laws, codes, rules, and regulations of federal, state and city governments; the facility; and the meeting, including, but not limited to, following public health policies, complying with safety regulations, and adhering to the MRS Code of Conduct.
The Materials Research Society (MRS) is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all
2025 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit participants. We are working with the Hynes Convention Center and Sheraton Boston Hotel regarding preventive measures related to public health concerns. Our decisions and preventive measures will be guided by the requirements and recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and federal, state and local health authorities.
MRS sets clear policies to ensure a professional, inclusive, and safe environment for its meetings. Participants must adhere to applicable laws, health guidelines, and the MRS Code of Conduct, which promotes respect and integrity. Presenters are expected to follow time limits, use Speaker Ready Rooms to address technical issues, and comply with strict rules prohibiting unauthorized recording or photography. Health and safety protocols, informed by public health authorities, are regularly updated to provide a secure event experience.
A
Core Value of MRS is being broadly inclusive and egalitarian. MRS members and event participants are expected to foster an inclusive, cooperative environment where all are welcomed, open dialogue is encouraged and all perspectives are appreciated. Every member and event participant is expected to act in a professional, responsible and courteous manner while engaged in MRS events and activities. Unprofessional behavior, including disparaging comments and unwelcome conduct related to sex, race, color, gender, age, disability, orientation or religion, will not be tolerated.
It has come to our attention that fraudulent entities are posing as the Materials Research Society or as representatives of the Materials Research Society. These groups are illegally collecting registration fees and selling Meeting attendee lists and contact information. Be aware that the only website for information about the Materials Research Society is
mrs.org. The only website offering official information about the
2025 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit is www.mrs.org/meetings-events/annual-meetings/2025-mrs-spring-meeting.
MRS believes in high standards of professional behavior. A Core Value of the Society is to be inclusive and egalitarian, and our Aspiration is to engage members across generations to advance their careers and promote materials research and innovation.
