MRS can help you connect, inspire and lead through our expanded professional development portfolio of career services.

The MRS Job Board offers an active, searchable resource for job seekers and employers, serving as the first place to turn to find job openings or targeted, qualified job candidates. Post your resume for FREE at jobs.mrs.org.

At MRS Spring and Fall Meetings, the Career Fair provides an opportunity for Meeting participants and top employers to discuss career opportunities.

Meet the New Research Hires Poster Session at the 2025 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit

Hosted by the Early Career Professionals subcommittee, the goal of the poster session is to assist materials scientists who are seeking a research position in industry or at a government lab.  Unlike a technical poster session, the focus of Meet the New Research Hires is to provide a platform for presenters to:

  • Learn to effectively communicate their expertise, values and goals
  •  Develop a practice pitch and hone interviewing skills
  • Network with peers, meeting attendees and Early Career Professional subcommittee members
  • Expand their exposure and meet recruiters who are looking to hire
