MRS is excited to announce that its annual Spring Meetings in 2026, 2028, and 2030 will be held in Honolulu, Hawai’i. Known for its breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, Honolulu will provide attendees with a vibrant scientific atmosphere amidst the stunning backdrop of O’ahu.
MRS returns to the island after a successful 2022 Spring Meeting, continuing its tradition of fostering innovation and collaboration in this iconic location.
The 2026 MRS Spring Meeting Chairs are soliciting proposals for symposia in current and future technical topical areas of materials research as well as broader impact areas. Global collaborations, active engagement by researchers in all employment sectors, and diversity are important features of MRS Meetings and should be reflected in the individual symposia.
In keeping with longstanding tradition for the Spring Meeting, the Chairs especially welcome stimulating scientific topics of an applied nature. Topics of interest to industry are particularly desired. The Chairs seek proposals in all areas of materials research spanning materials design, functionalities, synthesis, processing, characterization, theory, and modeling.
