This tutorial focuses on the different approaches taken by industries to incorporate sustainability and the UNSDG into their current practices as well as their mission and vision for the future.
To promote materials development for a more sustainable world, it is essential that industry champions sustainability and incorporates sustainable practices and processes across product life cycles and into its business models. Responsible global business leaders and partners have embraced sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) and have incorporated them into the fabric of their organizations.
This tutorial focuses on the different approaches taken by industries to incorporate sustainability and the UNSDG into their current practices as well as their mission and vision for the future. It will highlight case studies on how these organizations approach sustainability and the UNSDG, and respond with systematic management and best practice solutions across product life cycles, to address the global challenges of environmental impact and climate change, labor, diversity and inequality, food, water and poverty.
