Deadline: May 9, 2025

The 2026 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit will be held November 29 – December 4, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts. As Meeting Chairs, we are now accepting proposals for symposium topics of future technical themes and broader impact for this meeting.

Our objective is to plan an exciting meeting that includes both new and rapidly developing topics as well as current ones of continuing interest to the materials community, in the tradition of MRS Fall Meetings. While all topics will be considered, MRS Fall symposia topics lean more towards fundamental research areas.

Global collaborations, active engagement by researchers in all employment sectors (industry, national lab, and academia), and inclusion are important features of MRS meetings and will be reflected in the individual symposia.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • 2D Materials
  • 3D Printing; 3D Bioprinting
  • Aerospace Materials
  • Autonomous Materials; Active Matter; Smart Materials; Self-Healing Materials
  • Biomaterials; Biomimetics
