Microscopy has been playing a crucial role in many science and engineering fields. Plasmonics has shown its unique capability to manipulate light at nanoscales, opening new doors for super-resolution optical microscopy systems. In my talk, I will present some of our recent development by using plasmonic structures to significantly improve the resolution of optical microscopy systems. Specifically, I will discuss the effectiveness of the deep learning algorithms to not only optimize the plasmonic structures but also drastically boost the image reconstruction speed and quality. Some biological imaging results will be presented by using such deep learning enhanced and plasmonics enabled microscopy techniques.
