Strong coupling between photons and quasiparticles facilitates photon-mediated quasiparticle and quasiparticle-mediated photon interactions. CrSBr is an intrinsic two-dimensional (2D) magnetic semiconductor that exhibits strong excitonic oscillator strength and high spin density, enabling strong coupling with optical and microwave photons. While 2D thin flakes of CrSBr can naturally form an optical cavity to generate exciton-polaritons, magnon-photon coupling requires a microwave cavity. Here, we investigate the coupling between magnons in CrSBr and microwave photons from superconducting resonators. In this talk, I will discuss the tunability of resonator modes when interfacing with 2D magnets and the resulting unconventional magnon-photon interactions extend beyond the conventional linear framework.
