van der Waals magnets offer a great opportunity for tunable magnetic properties as they are susceptible to external perturbations. Among all, pressure is a versatile tuning knob. In this work, we present our recent experimental findings collected on Fe2.7GeTe2 by employing SQUID magnetometry, Raman spectroscopy, and synchrotron-based XMCD measurements as a function of applied pressure. We observe that the saturation magnetization and the Curie temperature decreased as the external pressure increased. The Raman data showed the pressure-induced structural phase transition. This work signifies the application of pressure in tuning the magnetic properties of layered van der Waals magnets.
