Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater

Fallingwater is the most famous house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the mid-twentieth century. Not only is the house fascinating and historic, it also is located in the beautiful woods of the Laurel Highlands of western Pennsylvania. This excursion will include a box lunch, tour of the house and time to explore the grounds.

Exterior of the Clayton House

The Clayton House, The Frick Art Museum and The Car and Carriage Museum

The Clayton House is one of the best-preserved homes of the classic “robber baron” captains of the steel industry in the late 19th century, kept with all of its Victorian furniture and opulence intact. This excursion includes a tour of the mansion, access to the carriage house with its collection of horse-drawn carriages and antique cars, the Victorian-style cafe, and free admission to the art museum founded by the Fricks, which will include the special exhibit Street Photography to Surrealism.

Andy Warhol Museum

Andy Warhol, a native Pittsburgher, was one of the icons of the 1960’s pop art movement. The Warhol museum is filled with original art works by Warhol, one of the few single-artist museums in the country. This excursion will include a tour of the museum and the opportunity to independently explore the North Side of downtown Pittsburgh.
