Crafting a Scientific Career from Successes and Failures
Materials scientists are accustomed to learning from both successful and failed experiments; we should also be able to craft our scientific careers by learning from both our career successes and failures. This is far easier to do when we have people around us who act as mentors and allies. This talk will describe the evolution of my own career path, and emphasize the roles of mentors and allies in the process.
Men and women of materials science are invited to attend this discussion and complimentary breakfast. Advance sign-up and ticket required. A limited number of seats are available by preregistering online
