Ann Arbor is conveniently located near the Detroit Metro Airport (DTW).
If you are staying downtown Ann Arbor near the conference location, you will not require a personal automobile. There are a variety of options to reach Ann Arbor from DTW:
Parking is very limited in downtown Ann Arbor. You are encouraged to walk, use public transportation options, or services such as Uber of Lyft wherever possible.
If you plan to stay outside of downtown and drive to the conference location each day, daily parking at an hourly rate may be found using visitor parking at the Palmer Structure of the University of Michigan or using Ann Arbor City Parking.
Public buses are also available using TheRide with one-way fare of $1.50 (cash). If you are staying in hotels south of downtown, such as The Fairfield Inn on Boardwalk, Hampton Inn on Victors Way, or Sheraton on Boardwalk, Bus 62 has a route that is near these hotels between (1874 Wolverine Exit + Boardwalk Stop in daytime or 1875 Boardwalk + Eisenhower in evening) and the Michigan League (stop 1743).
If you are staying downtown in the dorms or in The Graduate, you may use major parking structures in the city for up to 72 hours (rate of $1.20/hour). (Maynard and Liberty Square lots are near the Michigan Union).
