Oral Presentations
- Contributed presentations are scheduled for 15 minutes; Invited speakers are scheduled for 30 minutes; Plenary speakers are scheduled for 40 minutes.
- Standard audiovisual equipment available includes a laptop computer with Microsoft Operating System, an LCD projector, a screen, pointer and a wireless lapel microphone.
- Authors must be prepared before presenting to allow fast and easy transition from one talk to another in order to avoid unnecessary delay between presentations. Authors should test/connect their laptops to the LCD projector no later than the “break” immediately preceding their scheduled presentation. The break is defined as:the time before the first morning talk, during the morning break, during the 12:00-1:30 pm lunch break or during the afternoon break.
- It is important that you keep your presentation to the time allotted. This includes any setup time as well as Q&A time. Published presentation times must be maintained because attendees base their itineraries on the program schedule.
- NDNC 2018 is not responsible for the security of any personal equipment.
Poster Presentations
- Each presentation will be assigned a space and will be labeled with the number of the paper (e.g. PS1.01) and the presenting author’s name.MRS Standard Poster Board dimensions are:
- U.S. Format – 46½ inches (width) x 46½ inches (height)
- European Format -118.11 cm (width) x 118.11 cm (height)
- Pins for posting will be available at stations throughout the poster hall.Please return the pins to these stations following your poster session for the convenience of authors who will be participating in other sessions later in the week.
- Display your material in large print so it may be read from a distance. Print TITLE and AUTHORS in extra-large print across the top of your display.
Poster Session Schedule
Poster sessions will be held Monday and Tuesday in the Doyle/Rees room of The High Country Conference Center. Please note the important poster schedule below.
Monday
10:00 am – 4:00 pm Poster set up
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Poster session reception (Light refreshments will be provided. Authors should stand with their posters during the Poster Session Reception to network and answer questions about their presentation.)
8:00 pm* Posters must be removed*
Tuesday
10:00 am – 4:00 pm Poster set up
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Poster session reception (Light refreshments will be provided. Authors should stand with their posters during the Poster Session Reception to network and answer questions about their presentation.)
8:00 pm* Posters must be removed*
*It is extremely important that you remove your poster by the deadline for your poster session. Posters not removed will be discarded.
