FAQs

What is the temperature in the Grand Canyon?
The temperature at the bottom of the canyon is much warmer than it is on the rim. During the summer, the rim temperature typically stays between 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit (26-32 C).

How should I dress for the tour?
We suggest comfortable shorts, breathable tops, sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. Bring a hooded article in case of rain.

And don’t forget to bring:

  • Water… lots of water
Due to high elevation it is easy to become dehydrated or feel the effects of minor altitude sickness. Take your time during moderate activity and make sure to drink a lot of water, more water than you think you need to drink. Some will be provided on the tour but you should pack a reusable water bottle.
  • Your camera and/or cell phone
The Grand Canyon is world renowned for its scenic vistas. With ever-changing and colorful scenery of enormous proportions, it is widely considered one of the world's most spectacular landscapes. Have your camera ready!
