MRS-Japan Society Workshop Landing Banner

Metal halide perovskites have become a focal point of research and development in the photovoltaic community. The certified efficiencies of single-junction perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and perovskite-based tandem cells have currently reached 26.1% and 33.7%, respectively. Although perovskite photovoltaics are close to commercialization, substantial hurdles still exist.

This joint MRS/JSAP two-day virtual workshop will bring together experts in the field from academia and industry to discuss their recent advances and share their views on the challenges and strategies of developing perovskite solar cells for improved properties, better performance and the path to commercialization.

Topics covered in this workshop will include:

  • Fundamental material properties
  • Interfacial engineering
  • Single-junction and tandem solar cells
  • Lead, tin-lead and lead-free perovskites
  • Long-term stability and degradation mechanisms
  • Scaling up and modules
  • Space applications

Each day will include five keynote presentations, a panel discussion, as well as discussions and interactions with attendees. Join us as we discuss these topics and more!
